In this article will show you how you can read your HardDisk Temperature if your hard disk has inbuilt temperature sensor.
Hddtem is a tool that will help you to read the HardDisk Temperature . hddtemp will give you the temperature of your hard drive by reading Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T.) information on drives that support this feature. Only modern hard drives have a temperature sensor.
so first you need to install hddtem and can be installed by typeing
sudo apt-get install hddtemp
Now you can read your HardDisk Temperature by typeing the following command.
sudo hddtemp /dev/sda
HardDisk Temperature
For other hardisk you can check the other drive by typing “sudo fdisk -l” without quotes. just Replace /dev/sda to other one will give you temperature of other hard disk .
